Consumer Alert – Flooded Golf Cart Information
It has come to our attention that approximately 350 E-Z-GO TXT golf carts, ranging from 2014-2017 models, have been recently sold at auction in Mississippi. This entire group of golf carts was flooded in Houston, TX during Hurricane Harvey.
For the most part, these units have been purchased by wholesale dealers and individuals who will begin to sell them to the public. Many of these units will be refurbished to a point where it will be difficult to determine the origin of the unit by appearance alone. It is our experience that flooding of this nature requires extensive part replacement to bring the golf cart back to reliable service. Without a thorough refurbish process, these flooded golf carts could experience many electrical and mechanical issues.
If you are considering a purchase from a non-authorized dealer, we would strongly encourage you to research the origin of the golf cart. While it is illegal to sell flooded automobiles, that is not the case for golf carts. If you have any questions, concerns or need information about a specific golf cart, we are happy to assist.
