A Storied History
E-Z-GO® golf carts can trace their heritage back to the middle of the 20th century, right here in the Deep South. Two brothers, Billy and Beverly 
Dolan began their enterprise in a garage in Augusta, Georgia, where they manufactured golf carts, using military-surplus motors. The Dolan brothers wanted to improve upon existing golf cart designs, which had only been around for a few decades at that point.
Their carts became extremely popular and the Dolans ended up selling their company to Textron in 1960, after only six years in business. At the time, the head of Textron was an avid golfer and wanted to produce reliable and fast golf carts for himself and his fellow players to help make the game more enjoyable and less taxing.
The Models
